May 20th is the World Bee day and we would like to celebrate this amazing day by hosting many events and talks together with Helen Poh Local charity supporter and eco craft mum.
Wandle River Community garden is part of Paul Bownes Memorial garden made by Wandle Heritage Charity that was open 20 years ago sadly it got forgotten for many years. That is why we decided to step in and help to rebuild the garden and make the space available for community to enjoy explore and have fun.
This year after pandemic we finally can join together outside and start our project again. The Bee week will start from 15th Saturday till 23rd Sunday of May
On First weekend 15th and 16th we will have Children activities, Charity second chance sale, and building bugs hotel and spotting the bugs.
For the Second Weekend 21st Friday evening we will have indoors adult workshop held by Helen Poh making bee hives out of donated materials. You will learn basic weaving steps that later you can make your own things at home.
22nd Saturday and 23rd Sunday We will have again Charity Second Chance sale, kids activities to make bees and bee hives. Also talks with bee keepers and making bee water source in the garden. Also recognising flowers and exploring the garden.
